A £4,500 Rubbish Bin

You may remember our little exclusive back in November where we revealed the cost of statues in Ashton town centre. One of those was an open guitar case costing £4,500. When the guitar case was first laid there, the local scroterati tried picking up the coins stuck to the bottom. Now it seems they now resort to using it as a rubbish bin...

Are you saying there is some none essential spending by Tameside council?
That they waste tax payers money?

Yet another expensive waste of the good people of Ashton's hard earned cash. Just another shining example of the council leadership pursuing the policies of the madhouse.

Nice to see someone's given this lump of metal the credibility it deserves by using it as an ashtray!!

Let us hope that sooner or later the administration of its sponsor becomes a fag end one.

for f***s sake, when will TMBC councillors realise shit like this is not appreciated by any right minded citizens? couldnt that "spare" £4500 have gone towards something useful like a play area for the kids or grass collectors on their mowers which leave clippings all over the pavements instead of picking it up?
